cover158295-medium This love story is a slow burn between Angela and Logan. Angela Louise has been in love with Logan Sawyer since the third grade. She never enacted on her lifelong crush until the day before Wren Hart returns to town. Her small flirtations along with Wren’s stamp of approval pushed Logan to ask Angela on a date. Angela is hiding something from everyone close to her even Logan. This secret can destroy many things in her life including the precarious emotional state of her grieving mother.

Logan can’t believe that Angela has been right there the whole time. It didn’t help that he also needs information from her about her father’s unsolved death that he’s been tasked with solving. Every time he has the opportunity to ask Angela about her father, he doesn’t. He falls for her more and more every day. He’s scared of what will happen if Angela finds out that he’s investigating her father’s death. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Blurb:

Angela Lavelle has been in love since third grade. A heated argument over superheroes left her reeling in the wake of Logan Sawyer and his charming, know-it-all smile. After a lifetime in the same small town, this art geek still feels invisible to the guy she knows is destined for her. Finally, Angela is ready to give destiny a shove.

Logan Sawyer is adored by the whole town, even taking a place next to his father as a sheriff’s deputy, with aspirations of becoming a detective. When a certain redheaded waitress finally catches his attention, he wonders how he’s been so blind to Angela hiding in plain sight. But there’s the mysterious circumstances of her father’s death tugging at Logan’s detective instincts. Could Angela be the one to break the case wide open? Or will their secrets destroy any chance at a happily-ever-after?
